Correspondence of the family of Cuningham or Cuninghame of Robertland, chiefly of Sir David, 1st Baronet., 1636-1697, undated.
Scope and Contents
The letters treat almost entirely of financial and legal transactions in Scotland, England, and Ireland, especially with Cunninghams and other Ayrshire families. Public affairs are mentioned in the letters of the 1st Baronet to his wife, 1642, 1652-1653, undated, and in those of the Earls of Lauderdale (afterwards Duke), 1648-1650, and Glencairn, 1662, undated. Those of Mr George Cuninghame of Kirkland, 1647-1648, 1662, give a picture of the everyday life of the time.
