The contents are as follows.
(i) Letters of Mrs Alison Cockburn to Dr Douglas, with some poems, 1767-1794, undated (folio 1). Most of these are printed in her ‘Letters and memoir’, edited by T Craig Brown (Edinburgh, 1900). They are arranged as they appear in that work, those not printed being placed at the end.
(ii) Observations by various writers on the agriculture of Roxburghshire, undated. (Folio 145.)
