The manuscript is number 2 in ‘History of the Church of Scotland’ (Spottiswoode Society, 1851), edited by M Russell, volume i, page vii. The passage quoted from it by Russell (page xxvi) gives the scribe's text; in the body of the work (pages 1-2) Russell gives the text as corrected by Archbishop Spottiswoode.
