Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows.
(i) 'The Form of Proceeding in matters Criminal', 1673, by Sir William Hamilton of Whitelaw, Lord Justice Clerk in 1704. The title is in a modern hand. There is a note by George Neilson (page 149) in which he refers to MS.2763, a later copy of this work.
(ii) A seventeenth-century manuscript of Sir James Steuart of Goodtrees, ‘An Index or Abridgement of the Acts of Parliament’ (Edinburgh, 1685). (Page 174, starting at the end of the volume.)
