Custodial History
Inscribed (folio ii) in a contemporary hand: 'Presented to My Lord Secretarie Johnstoun by Sir Alexander Gibsone of Adistone. 26 Agust 1692'. Underneath is written: 'Presented to Sir James Johnstone of Westerhall, Bart., by ... J. Balmain. Edinr. 8th. January 1779'.
Bibliography
The work was edited for the Scottish History Society by C Sanford Terry, 1909, from Adv.MS.25.4.3, probably a later manuscript, but the only one known at the time.
