Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows.
(i) 'A brief account of the parliamentary petitions ... now extant in the Tower of London, from the Reign of Edward the 1st to the end of Edward the fourth, lately inspected by W Illingworth under the direction of [?Samuel Lysons]'. (Folio 2.)
(ii) A critique of a work entitled, 'Expeditionis Billarum Antiquitas' (folio 24), signed, 'J. F. April 1808'. It is followed by other papers on the subject, including a letter (folio 50) of Sir Thomas E Tomlins attributing the original work to Henry Elsynge, the Younger.
(iii) Analysis of the Red Book of the Exchequer. (Folio 65.)
