Scope and Contents
The main work begins at folio 17. It is preceded by a summary (folio 1) entitled, 'The Contents of the severall Centuryes in this Booke concerning (especially) the state of the Roman Church and Empire, the decay of true Religion and rysing of the Papacy brieffely sett down and more fully shewed in the Booke following'. On folio 401 is a commentary on the Revelation of St John.
At the end (folio 413) there is the beginning of another copy in the same hand. Throughout the complete copy are additions and corrections in a second hand, also of the seventeenth century.
An appendix contains alphabetical lists of Emperors, Popes, etc.
