Scope and Contents
The volume also contains letters from Andrew Lumisden, John McGowan, the Edinburgh connoisseur and James Bruce of Kinnaird, the African traveller; and copies of the correspondence, 1759-1760, between Sir Robert and Allan Ramsay relating to a dispute concerning the engraving of Ramsay's portrait of the Prince of Wales which were published in is ‘Memoirs of Sir Robert Strange and ... Andrew Lumisden’ by James Dennistoun, volume 11, Appendix number III. The copy of the letter of the First Minister at Parma, Du Tillot (folio 11) is also published in the memoirs by Dennistoun.
