The manuscript includes:
(i) Report, 20 June 1805, by Alexander Walker on the employment of regiments of black soldiers in India (folio 1);
(ii) Memorandum, 5 September 1801, from Walker to Colonel Arthur Wellesley on the system of government required in Malabar (folio 21);
(iii) Memorandum, 27 October 1804, on the demands to be made upon the Bombay military establishment (folio 26);
(iv) "Summary of the Governor of Bombay's proceedings in Guzerat", 25 June 1802 (folio 34);
(v) Memorandum, 8 November 1804, by Walker on the formation of the Gaikwar's subsidiary force (folio 42).
