The manuscript includes: (i) Two separate but contemporary accounts of Colonel Monson's mauling by Holkar in July 1804 and his retreat to Agra (folio 1); (ii) Memorandum, circa 1804, probably by Alexander Walker, on the career of Kánhoji (folio 9); (iii) Contemporary copies of official letters about the administrative arrangements at Broach in 1804 and Colonel Murray's state of preparedness in September 1804 (folio 17); (iv) Guzra Bye's account of female infanticide, circa 1804 (folio 31); (v) Account of the death of the Persian Ambassador in Bombay in July 1802 (folio 33); (vi) Copy letters, 1802, from Colonel Barry Close, Resident at Poona, etc., about affairs in Gujarat (folio 35).
