Scope and Contents

The letters are chiefly to Patrick Geddes. William Sharp was editorial and business manager of Patrick Geddes and Colleagues, and it was during his association with the firm that he and Geddes pioneered ‘The evergreen’ as part of the Celtic Revival. Sharp was literary adviser of the magazine from 1895-1896. The letters discuss this venture and Sharp's own work, as well as more personal matters such as financial difficulties and health problems.
