Correspondence of Patrick Geddes and Victor Branford., 1895-1930, undated.
Scope and Contents
Business correspondence between Victor Branford and Patrick Geddes, 1895-1930, undated. Branford, as well as being a business associate, was one of Geddes's closest friends and assisted him in many of his projects. Together they instituted the Sociological Society in 1903, and established London offices for the publishing firm of Patrick Geddes and Colleagues. The letters reflect these interests, but current affairs are also discussed, for example the war of 1914-1918, and the coal crisis of 1925. Branford also mentions his own work.
