Scope and Contents
This diary is largely comprised of entries spanning July to December. The entries are largely related to events concerning the First World War, particularly the deployment of Fairbairn`s Battalion of the Royal Garrison Artillery to the Middle East and the events of the Battle of Jerusalem, in which Fairbairn fought. The diary includes a section for personal accounts, in which Fairbairn recorded details of both his civilian and military finances.
