Letters of Isaac D'Israeli to John Murray II., 1794-1848.
Scope and Contents
Author Isaac D'Israeli (1766-1848) had most of his works published by John Murray. He was close friends with John Murray [II] and it was largely through this link that his son, Benjamin Disraeli, also formed connections with the publishing house. D'Israeli corresponded with John Murray [II] for over 40 years. The letters in this series concern his publications, but also include news about his family and mutual acquaintances.
In addition to the correspondence of D'Israeli, there are also letters concerning D'Israeli, legal documents and a cheque for D'Israeli.
