Scope and Contents
Letters of various correspondents to John Murray, publishers. These include letters, 1914, of Ernest Shackleton: one letter to Thomas Brassey and one to John Murray IV (with a copy of his reply), prior to and concerning the 1914-1917 Antarctic expedition. Also included is a letter, 1909, of Shackleton’s literary agents concerning the 1907-1909 expedition.
All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent, then by date under each name. A further correspondent has been added at the end of the sequence.
