The letters are to John Murray III, John Murray IV and Hallam Murray. They concern mostly Arthur Peel’s interest in, and observations on, the publication of "Sir Robert Peel from his private papers" (1891-1899), edited by Charles Parker. Sir Robert Peel was Arthur Peel’s father.
The letters are arranged chronologically.
