Letters, 1828-1833, of Henry Milman to John Murray II, with some letters to John Murray III and John Gibson Lockhart. The letters concern works of Milman published by the Murrays, including “The history of the Jews” and “The history of Christianity”. He also comments on manuscripts sent to him for criticism, and his own writing for the "Quarterly Review". The letters are arranged in chronological order.
