This manuscript principally includes letters, 1825-1859, of Charles R. Leslie to John Murray II and John Murray III. They concern art works, and publications of Leslie’s, including “Life and times of Sir Joshua Reynolds”. There is mention also of his friendship with Constable.
All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name. Some include replies.
