Letters to John Murray, publishers, of Anna Barrett-Lennard., 1904-1928.
Scope and Contents
The letters are to John Murray IV and to Hallam Murray, with some of their replies. They concern proposals for translations from German. Among those accepted are “A pietist of the Napoleonic Wars and after: the life of the Countess von Reden“, published in 1905, and “Moltke in his home” in 1907.
Mrs Barrett-Lennard signed her letters as either “M. Barrett-Lennard” or “?Mamie Barrett-Lennard”.
The letters are arranged chronologically.
