Letters, September 1883-1893, of Louis Jennings to John Murray III, John Murray IV, Hallam Murray and Robert Cooke. They concern “The Croker papers”, edited by Jennings, as well as reports on manuscripts sent to him for criticism, and political issues, including his election as Conservative MP for Stockport in November 1885 and campaign to retain the seat in 1886. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
