Letters, 1893-1899 and uncertain dates, of John Cooke to John Murray IV and Hallam Murray, with related letters and papers. They concern works of Cooke’s published by the Murrays, including “Handbook for travellers in Ireland” and “Elementary geography for Irish schools”, and his contribution to the revision of Shaw’s “English literature”. He also advised on the subject of educational books for Ireland. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
