They concern publications of Barrow by Murray, including biographies of Drake and Sir William Sydney Smith. Some letters are written on behalf of his father, John Barrow (1764-1848) or concern his father’s writing. One letter, 23 November 1848, informs Murray of John Barrow the elder’s death.
