Letters, 1831-1840, of John Barrow to John Murray III, with a few letters to John Murray II, and with one letter of George Barrow to John Barrow. The letters concern publications of Barrow by Murray, including “Excursions in the North of Europe”, and accounts of visits to Iceland and Ireland. Some letters are written on behalf of his father, John Barrow (1764-1848) or concern his father’s writing. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
