Scope and Contents
This manuscript includes letters, 1899-1828, of J.M. Barrie to John Murray IV, responding to proposals of Murray’s regarding publications and charitable work.
Also included are letters, 1899-1922, of Sir William Barrett to John Murray IV, concerning his work on “Early chapters in science” and his interest in hypnotism. There are also letters, 1914, of Evan Barron to John Murray IV, seeking publication of his work on the Scottish War of Independence.
All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name. A further correspondent has been added to the end of the sequence.
