Scope and Contents
This manuscript includes letters, 1834-1864 and uncertain date, of Charles Babbage to John Murray II and John Murray III. Some of the letters concern his publications including “On the economy of machinery and manufactures”, “Table of logarithms” and the Ninth Bridgewater Treatise, with mention also of the calculating engine.
All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name.
