This sub-series of albums contains files relating to the internal social life of the John Murray company and its staff.

Examples of items include:

Staff newsletters; dinner menus, photographs, and invitations for events; news articles; Christmas cards; poetry (including Lord Byron’s "Lament During the Repairs at No.50"); memoranda; itineraries and photographs for staff days out and trips (to Windsor, Greenwich and Kew, Hampton Court, Paris, Amsterdam, and Dublin); and papers relating to staff retirement parties, birthday parties, and the final company closure farewell party.
