Scope and Contents
Pages 1-64 are more exact copies of charters to be found in Adv.MS.13.1.1.
From page 110 the author has mostly stopped making exact transcripts and begun to translate and sometimes abridge instead.
The contents are as follows:
(i) sale receipt and sale catalogue for the Scott manuscripts, 1818 (folio i).
(ii) transcripts and translations of charters relating to the Blackfriars of Perth, 1241-1557, some not from the cartulary (page 1).
(iii) translation of the accompt book, 1557-1559, of Friar David Cameron, Prior of the Blackfriars, Perth (page 303).
(iv) translations of charters relating to the Carmelites of Perth, 1361-1551 (page 336).
(v) translations of charters relating to the Carthusians, 1426-1559 (page 402).
(vi) transcript of rental, circa 1440, of St Leonard`s and St Mary Magdalene`s Hospitals, the revenues of which had been granted to the Carthusians (page 571).
