Arrangement
Moffett's sermon files are arranged according to the different ways in which the files were compiled and used. First are sermons preached at Crown Court Church which Moffett appears to have arranged himself, allocating a roman numeral to each file. A large number of these files is apparently missing. They are followed by a smaller number of files arranged by events in the Christian calendar, special occasions or subject. Next are files arranged by books of the Bible, then files of sermons in no discernable order. Of the last two series, it is possible that Moffett himself rearranged his files at some stage, however it seems probable that Jean Stewart was responsible for their rearrangement, and there is certainly evidence of her having used the files during her own ministry.
Finally there are several notebooks of various dates which include Moffett's notes in preparation for sermons, and of sermons he had himself attended.
