Scope and Contents
On Lady Elizabeth Camphell`s death her bonds were inherited by James, Patrick, and Elizabeth Campbell, children of Patrick Campbell of Edinample. The object of the transactions was to give the Campbells further security for their money, and to obtain for the Erskines a longer term of repayment. Other papers concern the Crichtons of Castlemains and St Leonards, relatives of the Earl of Dumfries.
