An unbound octavo booklet, 18 leaves, undated. In the hand of Rev. Donald MacNicol. The first leaf contains a contents list of titles or first lines, and the signature 'Donald McNicol' at the bottom.

Contains 10 Gaelic songs, including versions of "Òran nam fineachan Gàidhealach" by Iain Dubh (MacDonald) and "Smeòrach Clann Dòmhnaill" by Iain MacCodrum. The contents have been described in Mackechnie, Catalogue of Gaelic Manuscripts, vol. 1, page 331.

Scope and Contents Small unbound octavo notebook, 16 leaves. Undated. In the hand of Rev. Donald MacNicol. With a contents list on the first page, and signed on the first page, 'Donald McNicol'. Two leaves were cut out of the volume after completition, leading to the loss of one song mentioned in the contents list and loss of parts of the songs adjacent.Includes versions of 'Moch sa mhadainn 's mi làn airtneal' by Lachlann mac Theàrlaich Òig (Mackinnon) and 'A' bhliadhna gus an aimsir...

Dr. Alexander Irvine, apart from the section headings and contents description at the start, which were added by a later family member. The manuscript is undated; the paper is watermarked 1803.
